I’ve recently started using IBP and Arelis for my keyword research and link tracking, and I must say I’m truly impressed.

Up until now I’ve used freebie programs for the majority of my keyword research, such as Digital Point’s keyword suggestion tool or Overture, and then created my own spreadsheets to determine KEI. Then I’ve plugged in my keywords and links into Digital Point’s freebie keyword ranking monitor and every week or so I’ll check to see how much love Google gives me. Sure, it works, but it’s extremely time consuming.

Plus, I’ve never done a thing with link tracking, although I know it’s incredibly important for higher/better search engine rankings. I know lots of websites link to my work, but I have no idea who they are or how they are finding me, nor did I know how to increase those numbers efficiently.

IBP has sped up this process and created a way for me to manage all of these tactics for all of my work in one place – no small feat considering how many projects I manage at any given time. [screenshot]

I can now search for keywords using Google, Overture, or any other search engine or keyword tool in a flash and automate the process, too. I can see what my top competitors are using for keywords, search out their top keyword phrases for new keyword combinations, calculate KEI for a large number of keywords all at one and using hundreds of different search engines, and even create new keyword combinations based on the words I’ve already chosen.

And that’s just IBP. I haven’t even really touched Arelis, which focuses more on the external factors that affect positive search engine rankings.

I highly recommend downloading the free trial to see if it works as well for you as it does me. I’ll admit, it’s not a cheap program, but so far it’s earned me much more work than it cost initially. Plus their free eBooks are amazingly useful: Successful Search Engine Marketing [opens to a zip file] and How To Get Quality Inbound Links [also opens to a zip file].
